First Time Treatment

Your First Massage Treatment

What happens at the appointment?

When we first meet for your massage treatment I will ask you to fill in the required paperwork, this is for insurance purposes and so I can advise you on the best treatment and I can measure the progress you make. All the records are stored securely in a locked cabinet.

You don’t need any special preparation for massage.

When you arrive and before a massage therapy session begins, I will ask you about any symptoms, your medical history.

At the appointment, you will be asked to undress the affected area, down to your underwear. You will then lie on a massage couch where I will drape towels over the area to be treated. It is also possible to have a massage while sitting in a chair, fully clothed.

How long does a massage last?

Depending in your choice of massage a session can last between 45 and 75 minutes.  No matter what kind of massage you choose, you should always feel and relaxed during and after your massage.

If you find the pressure too much then let me know and I can adjust it to suit you, the same applies if the pressure is too light. If you have a tight spot in a muscle it may be uncomfortable while its worked on. However, if it becomes painful, then please let me know.
