Who runs Massaging Matters?

Sheila Ritchie (BA HND) Professional Complementary Therapy Practitioner created Massaging Matters in March 2000. Sheila is a registered Member of the Complementary Therapists Association and Embody for You & has insurance cover with Holistic Insurance Services.

“I have enjoyed a varied work history; encompassing student nurse training in Sick Children’s Nursing, experience in Mental Health care, Adult & Midwifery; parenting my two children; four years as a Touring Coach Driver, in Europe and local Public Service Vehicle Driver. Lived and worked in the Highlands & Islands from 1986 to 2006 returning to Edinburgh during that time for three years to study an HND in Scottish Tourism & Languages at Stevenson College & BA in Tourism Management at Queen Margaret University College, before going back north to a great job as a Rural Tourism Project Coordinator in Inverness”.

In 1999 I began training in Massage Therapy and in 2000, on completion of the ‘Tourism Project’ I set up Massaging Matters and continued with ongoing training and skills development in a wide range of Complementary Therapy treatments. My professional practise is now based in Edinburgh.
